Entering into the walk zone during a cold break from my library job, I keep telling myself that we are halfway through winter and rounding the corner to spring.

I think not. We are iced in for the next several days here. I think I got a taste of your weather. Ice is so heavy on our trees that they have been breaking off into huge pieces in the yard. I had to drive home with ice on my side mirrors. You can’t see that way! And the power keeps going out when people need heat the most. Winter is no fun at all. As I wrote that, I just heard the cracking of another tree falling. Ugh.

That’s awful, ice where you’re not used to it, Kerbey. Your poor trees! Also, when we get ice on our car windows here, we have scrapers to take it off before we start driving. It’s not fun but very necessary. Be careful and safe in icy Texas, my friend.

We keep yellow scrapers in the car but it was raining ice. So as soon as you scraped it off, the ice appeared. We won’t be driving for several days.

Raining ice is a big problem, yes, Kerbey. Can’t keep up with that! Be safe at home for sure.
