Back when he was a little kid, my dear wife Karen and I were regulars at Evan’s birthday parties.
Of course, boys outgrow parents inviting THEIR friends to the bash, so we missed the last one. Our hearts were still in it, though.
Big kid now.
Which made us smile widely when we and his parents turned up at the same place for a great Mother’s Day brunch spread.
And Evan greeted us with a big, warm smile.
He’ll turn 6 in June. His favorite subject in school is gym.
