There’s a lot of good work that went into “The Single Moms Club.”
Tyler Perry pushed hard as writer and director to show the world that women can find strength, power and great relationships if they open the door to some unlikely friends.
Diversity is good in the world of this movie. Five very different women tackle five very different problems.
Perry is very good as a man suitor. (Yeah, the last time I saw him, he was dressed up as Madea.)
Is “The Single Mom’s Club” sometimes a bit sappy? Sure. But it’s message made the women in the theater very happy.

Nothing wrong with a little sap Mark…..I don’t mind it at all as a matter of fact.

I have always liked Tyler Perry. I enjoyed seeing him portray a character that Morgan Freeman and Denzel Washington have played: Alex Cross! He was very masculine and able to approach the detective role. I will have to see this new movie, I like humor mixed with romance! Rom-com’s are so fun. I find a lot are rather ‘dirty’ minded and hope that this feel good movie gets a large number at the box office! Thanks for the ‘legwork’ by reviewing this and giving it a positive one, at that! I would call it equal part dram-com as rom-com, Robin. I think you will like it.

Great insight on the movie. I knew this was getting a lot of hype, so you don’t really know what to expect when that happens. Kudos to Perry for putting forth a great effort.

You and your two continental daughters would be the perfect audience for his one, Beth, with its message to be proud of what you are.
