Our traditional gang of four arrived a few minutes before the 10 a.m. start time Saturday at NBT Bank Stadium for the Syracuse Mets annual welcome to fans.

With the snow that had fallen overnight and crisp March 4 temperatures, I was first in line at the ticket window to pick up our tickets for opening day.
