
While walking amid the Syracuse Arts and Crafts Festival vendors, it’s always a good idea to let the eyes drift to the striking architecture that surrounds the drop-in tents.

Yes, that’s the statue that still honors one Christopher Columbus, if you read yesterday’s post, standing at the center of the circle named after the now-controversial explorer.

The Cathedral welcomed me to beautiful musical events during my tenure as the big daily’s music writer. The acoustics are astounding.
Great workmanship on both that county building and the cathedral. A very nice setting, which always adds to the enjoyment of any outdoor festival.

When I worked downtown I made sure to walk around these streets with my eyes taking note several times a week, I’ll say religiously in honor of the Cathedral, Bruce.
