Cheer, cheer, cheer for the Chiefs.
And Stars.
Syracuse has a solid baseball history, we were reminded on Saturday’s open house tour through the guts of NBT Bank Stadium.
Fortunately, much memorabilia is carefully displayed in Syracuse Mets team office space on ground level.
It goes way back.
Our guide told us the plan calls for an exhibit in the refurbished Hank Sauer Room on the concourse, part of year two of the renovation process.
Syracuse baseball fans are in for a treat.
Tomorrow: A dugout view
What a cool little museum area! ❤

It’s cool to follow this transformation, Mark. And I’m guessing it feels great to watch it in real time. When did you first visit the park?

I went to the old MacArthur Stadium back in 1983, Sandra. For a couple of years, a lived right up the street and was able to walk to the stadium! They built this new one abouit 20 years ago in the same area (in the parking lot of the old stadium) so it has the same feel for the city.
