Cough. Hack. Repeat.
Glug that water.
Once the temperatures around our part of the world go low enough that our forced air furnace is a regular part of the daily proceedings, we notice our reaction to the resulting lack of humidity in our breathing routine.
My dear wife Karen ordered a new dry-air humidifier this autumn on Amazon.
We fill it with distilled water and rotate the adjustable control to the right.
Placing it on the kitchen counter seems to somewhat saturate the whole downstairs. Our breathing feels a difference for the better. Knock on wood.
Here’s to happy breathing! 🙂

It’s kind of necessary, MBC, so thank you a bunch. 🤓

Definitely a good idea for northern winters. Better than putting pans of water in front of the heat vents, especially for those with dogs or cats.

Right on! I put a wet washrag over the vent in the powder room (small house life).Definitely better to wake up without a dry, scratchy throat. But when we had more space I loved having a humidifier!

Good thing about a small house is this tiny humidifier covers the entire downstairs, Joey and CM!

Yes, Ellie would not allow that remedy to work here, CM.
