Having lived in New York State all but six years of my life, I had memories of many but not all of the cars in the New York State Police exhibit.
Before my time.
Not that purple one, wise guys.
Same scheme as the gas station.
I told my dear wife Karen that during a certain era, the color pattern of the cars brought them the nickname “Sunoco Special” because they matched the signs of that popular gas stop. At least some people I knew dared called them that. Not me, of course.
