Never to be contacted again

You can check out any time you like, but …

As my dear wife Karen and I walked around the beach area of Dennis Port, a certain resort caught my eye because of it’s name.

I’m sure Gaslighting did not mean what it does now when the owners decided to call it such.

But because of the present connotation, I had to wonder if anybody would bother with you anymore after you stayed there.

  1. I was curious, so I looked it up. The term is credited to a 1938 British play of the same name, which was made into an American movie in 1944, with Ingrid Bergman! I didn’t know it’s been around that long!
