The big party down at the shore of Onondaga Lake drew in my dear wife Karen and I this past weekend.
They call it Lakefest.
We called it a nice chance to grab a bite and watch people out on the water.
A lot of people obviously worked hard to get ready for this shindig.
Companies entered their employees to row for the Onondaga Cup.
The shells, as they are called, are huge.
I rather enjoyed the good humor of this squad. Please read their shirts.
The mermaid splashed this little girl.
And then she was proud of it.
Food and beverages were available for purchase, of course.
There was a playground for the young ones, too.
And what would a day at Onondaga Lake be without pirates?
Oh this looks like a fun day! And I hope none of them needed pulled back into the boat!

I never realized just how long those shells were. Looks like a really good day for one and all. Oh I do want a mermaid outfit. Thank you.

Outfit? That wasn’t a real mermaid, JoHanna? Hahaha. Yes, those shells are very long. Thank you for sharing the stop at Onondaga Lake.
