I do believe the little ghosts on the display on the wall at Syracuse mega shopping, dining and entertainment complex Destiny USA have something to do with the social media platform Snapchat.
On the way to grab dinner with my best bud KP, I was a few minutes early. So I wandered around the outside of TGIF. Eyed the mural. Circled. Saw it stayed empty.

I attempted to find a satisfactory selfie, and somehow knew it wasn’t happening.
So I went with my own way.
I will not enter any contest to win $100. I do not have a Snapchat account. (Only Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn. Ha!) Posting photos that go away after a day does nothing for me. I think it has something to do with my generation. The newspaper era, and all that.
Long live posterity.
How would you try for a selfie inside the ghost? What do you think of Snapchat? What’s your favorite social platform, and why?
My daughter and her friends LOVE SnapChat. I created an account so I could get her snaps while she was vacationing in CA with a friend. But other than that I haven’t used it.

I’m on FB, Twitter and LinkedIn and I don’t especially enjoy any of those so I’m resistant to getting into any more. And now that you’ve told me what Snap Chat is about I don’t even need to look into it because I now know I’m REALLY not interested. Thanks 🙂

Funny you should ask, I recently decided to wean myself off of the Social Media – although it has it’s moments and it does allow me to remain somewhat connected to long distance friends, and to see what my neices and nephews are up to, but the benefits seem to be outweighed by the overwhelming sense that I am wasting a lot of my time and should be focusing in the in-person social concept. So there. Keep it going, Harlon
