Saturday morning discovery in the backyard of The Little Bitty in the Syracuse city neighborhood of Eastwood: As the warming melt has reduced the snow pack, Ellie B aka Dogamous Pyle has expanded her collection.
I thought made a good shot for a weekend update for Photo 101 from her solitude and rule of thirds installation.
Our gray day has offered flat lighting. I’ll have to find better subjects for the true weekend assignment elsewhere. My dear wife Karen and I have plans to head downtown to the St. Patrick’s Day Parade later, rain be damned …
Have you found your lighting subject for the weekend yet, and where are you planning to poke around if not? What have been your highs and lows from our first two weeks of Photo 101? What do you hope for the next two weeks?
Looks like Ellie B had a good donation for the local thrift store.

This made me laugh, Mark. Not much different than a toddler leaving a toy trail, is it?

I’m jealous…the only piles I’m finding that were left in the snow are the stinky ones from my outdoor cats and neighborhood dogs! 🙂

Ha! We are looking at this backwards Mark. When Ellie was placing her objets d’art just so through the winter, the snow would cover her creation and she would have to start all over. What we are seeing, as the snow melts, is the reappearance of each installation in reverse time order of it’s genesis. It becomes confusing to us humans as the masterpieces overlap and all appear together. I’m sure, though, that in her mind’s eye Dogamous Pyle can see each creation separately as she installed it.
Too funny – half the loose objects in your house are now in the backyard. ha!

I like that Barb mentioned on another post about her Max dragging his neighbor dog’s dog bed home. Always glad Ellie B. to show her fun self, Mark. We will always wonder what they are thinking, won’t we?

Yes, their minds are a mystery, Robin. A funny, funny mystery.

Looks like she wants to have her own “things.” She must think the back yard is “her” area and wanted to have her own things in her area like you and Karen have in ya’lls area. It’s funny.

Slim pickings for Ellie B in our house and porch in comparison, Barbara. Tell Max so he cuts Dogamous Pyle a break. 🙂
