I thought I might have clinched a tie by now in the magnificent bloggers baseball wager.
But the Toledo Mud Hens took the first of four in their home park last night, walloping the Syracuse Chiefs. I need not get into the score. Why not, you ask? Because the blogger on the other side of this to-do, Beth of I Didn’t Have My Glasses On, didn’t bother to mention it in her post today.
The Chiefs still lead the best-of-eight affair, three games to two.
The Triple-A baseball squads are tussling right now in Fifth Third Bank Field in Toledo. Click on Beth’s name above to read my comment on that name, by the way. Yes, this fun little wager has been about humor and trash talking.
I am still confident. The Chiefs still have the lead in the series. It is scoreless after two-and-a-half-innings. I will not be clicking the Chiefs’ official site every five minutes now. I am not worried a bit. I am a busy man, with a story to write for the Syracuse New Times, two stories to write for the glossy magazine …

Uh..Oh! Nail biter! 🙂

I am like the others here, believing you were checking up on that score, Mark! I am sorry, as you know, unless the Mud Hens are playing the Columbus Clippers, I am on “Beth’s Home Team’s Side!!” But, it is a fun wager and lots of excitement here, checking how the games are going. I am waiting on bated breath for tomorrow’s posts! Smiles, Robin

Hehehe, I’m betting you will be clicking on that site for the score all morning Mark. Good luck, but I still love the Mud Hens name better. Love Beth’s blog also, but I met you first, so my loyalties lie with you.

You are a good friend, Angie. I like the Mud Hens name, too, but too bad.
