Game three in the biggest bloggers baseball wager ever is in the books.
The Syracuse Chiefs defeated the Toledo Mud Hens this afternoon at NBT Bank Stadium in Syracuse.
The final score was a whole lot to not so much.
You can see it in the glorious line score from the Chiefs site above.
You might want to put your glasses on to read it and weep, Beth of I Didn’t Have My Glasses On.
And so the tally in the eight-game, winner-gets-to-gloat, loser-must-feel-miserable series is Chiefs 2, Mud Hens 1.
Game four is Sunday afternoon, again here in Syracuse.
Beth gets the action in her park May 13 to 16.
Suffice it to say, I guess this means a “Yay, Mark!” is in order here? YAY!

😀 LOL! I don’t know thing one about sports, so I’m really reaching to even figure out if I’m supposed to cheer or offer a pat on the shoulder.

You can cheer AND pat me on the shoulder. I am greedy that way, Rachel.

Maybe I can hope for the Mud Hens to win and it will be a tie? This is so much fun, you are like a little kid in your joyful sportsmanship competition. You are not mean spirited, though!

I don’t even know what sport your talking about. *asks husby* Oh, college baseball? Sorry. I only watch hockey. Do you? If so, are you rooting for anyone in the playoffs?

Mark sets the scene for Beth E:
We’re having a hopefully humorous wager about our respective “hometown” minor-league baseball teams.
All of the insults are meant to be good natured only. Right, Beth of Ann Arbor?
And, Beth E, I do like hockey. This Islanders are my team, and that means when the playoffs roll around, I root for the Rangers.

It’s looking good for you Mark. Two more wins and I’ll raise a glass of OJ to the Chiefs. Tried a glass of beer a couple of days ago and it just doesn’t go well with my MS meds, so OJ has to do. Beer is great to cook with though.

Do not mess with your MS meds, Angie, not with the progress you have been making around the house of late!

OK, he’ll get the next one. The best thing about baseball is that it’s a long season, Mrs. B! Have a good rest of your weekend, and again, thanks for that wicked Mets rookie card make-over today.
