Kevin Hart plays a security guard geek who finds it hard to pull himself away from his video game in the morning to go work at the high school.
Ice Cube plays a policeman who not only lives Hart’s Ben Barber’s dream life, but also is the brother of Barber’s girlfriend.
So the little man tries to prove to the big man that he’s worthy. Of so much. His acceptance into the Atlanta police academy. Of his sister’s hand in marriage. Of breathing the same air.
“Ride Along” was seriously tedious at the start.
Then it became way better.

I just watched another movie I could NOT get in to. My aunt and uncle had me watch it with them. I wanted to watch it before. But for some reason I could not get past a certain point. I would just turn it off. Yet. when we watched it with them I got past that part that made me turn it off. So I appreciate the heads up. The movie I couldn’t get past what I felt was tedium? The King’s Speech.

Ah, yes, your aunt and uncle’s presence helped you a bunch with that one!

I enjoyed reading your review, Mark. Guess who was the first to recommend I see this movie? Waze, the GPS app you and I have discussed elsewhere.

Smart phones are getting way smart, with Apps about traffic routes endorsing a movie with the title ‘Ride Along.’ There’s a business blog in there for somebody, Ann.

That good? Hmm. I may still wait for On-Demand vs. theater, but good to know.

It will be equally good on On-Demand, NAPR.

LOL. It seems we save the theater experience now for DC or Marvel comics-themed movies. Then it drops to On-Demand, Netflix, or standard cable in terms of priority 🙂
