Baby bunny visits our front yard

Karen told me to go to the window with my iPhone 8 very, very quietly. A baby bunny was visiting. So we get the cute little rabbit shot through the screen. I knew I could open the front door and approach or Bugs would hop away. Tiny!

Our cup at work

Nathan works the next department over at the library. He hears Edina and I talk, plan, take our daily dash to Dunkin’ for our morning cup o’. And so he walked over with a sign of our times. Up on the board behind my work spot it hangs proudly.

Much action at the local film hub

My dear wife Karen and I heard a lot of big bangs a weekend ago. We wondered where they were having a fireworks display so late, what with our Liverpool neighborhood of Galeville being smack dab in the middle of many places where they hold these things. But, no, we found out when we visited…

You can’t beat an outdoor drink

It’s been so warm this summer around A Bitty Better in the Liverpool neighborhood of Galeville that my dear wife Karen and I figured we better put out a second drinking bowl of water for Ellie B aka Dogamous Pyle. After some sorting, the best place for dog and humans has turned out to be…

A reflection of a relaxing evening

Sitting in the backyard of A Bitty Better in the Liverpool neighborhood of Galeville with my dear wife Karen, the reflection of the setting sun behind us suddenly appeared in our pool. After running inside to grab my iPhone 8, I discovered I had to get back into my seat to rediscover the glory of…

She asked if I’d looked closely at the tallest of our front yard garden plants last weekend. The Rose of Sharon had bloomed, big and bright. I had to…

Bon voyage, wish we could …

Our cruise friends Brenda and JoAnn hosted a big bash at their place recently because, well, the bunch is getting ready for another trip. Of course they welcomed even those of us who can’t make it this time around to the festivities. That included my dear wife Karen and I. We appreciated their sense of…

I salute the sentiment and size of this American flag

Taking a detour recently through the Village of Liverpool, the size of an American flag flying in front of a local business made me go back to snap some photographs. Thankfully, the wind picked up as I worked my iPhone 8. And the birds who are immediately adjacent to the flag pole indeed help put…

Hands in the air and donate to a good cause

On my work walk for a good morning cup of Dunkin’ on Friday, I noticed the spot a block down from the library in the Village of Liverpool surrounded by police. No joke! And no crime. The local police departments were helping raise money or several deserving charities. Good work, all.
