The Syracuse Mets opened up NBT Bank Stadium for a holiday get-together Friday night.
They bathed the tarp covering the field in a cool seasonal green lighting.
Holiday feel.
They put out special T-shirts in the team store.
There’s no place like our Home Plate Gate, even in mid-December when the parent New York Mets are losing free agent players left and right, crossed the brain as my dear wife Karen, terrific daughter Elisbeth, fantastic George Three and I walked back to the car.
We’ll see who the players will be on the field come March …

that’s so cool that they do that special holiday night and those t-shirts are really cute. ’tis the season for the parents to make the team moves, so their might be some surprises ahead when spring arrives in the big show.
