His photo of us.
In the Wayback, Greg and I went to both our journalism colleges together.
When he visited our house on his epic drive up the coast to Northern New York this month, I recalled a simple fact about those formative years we spent together and how we’ve stayed in touch since the first day we met a half-century ago.
We share a brain, I declared with a laugh as we sat at our kitchen table, leafing through my editions of old yearbooks and recalling encounters with this student and that student. My dear wife Karen shook her head.
Yeah, our wonder years were something.
I was so glad he included our house on this big adventure.
We went to our stadium, he with my dear wife Karen, terrific daughter Elisabeth and I to see the hometown Syracuse Mets. Rain came after the first inning, but we even had fun standing on the concourse talking until they called the game.

On his way back south, he stopped at the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, and sent me some photos.
He sure looks good on a make-your-own baseball card for his team, the Washington Nationals, who used to be his original team, the Montreal Expos.
Yeah, we had a story or two about that.
Greg! Greg T.? From North Lawrence originally? Wow

Oh how cool is this. A Friend from long ago and you both enjoy baseball. I am so glad that old friends from long ago still get together! 👏👏👏

When we get together, the conversations pick up like it was yesterday, not years ago, that we were last in the same room, Nance.
