WordPress called my time tapping at the keyboard with their platform an achievement.
I started this blog 12 years ago, their A1 apparently flagged them.
My start was cautious. I didn’t even take photos. Or use clip art. All I knew was that after getting laid off by the big daily with four decades of work at a handful of newsrooms college and professional under my skin, I wanted … no, needed … to keep sharing my words.
It evolved into a daily obsession for writing and photography as life outside daily newspapers led me to other ways to bring home checks and satisfy my need to do good.
A retired guy for several years, I’ve continued to take photos and blog here daily.
The need to scratch that daily itch is waning.
Some day coming down the line, I’ll let a day go by without a post. Maybe two or three. A week? I’ll still read the blogs I like and comment.
Life will go on.
happy 12, mark and here’s to more as you feel it – I think you’re in a different place now, and just post when you are inspired to do so, we’ll be here, in whatever form and frequency and we all evolve over time, in this space as well as the other places in our lives.

You got that right, Beth. I’ll try to find more inspiration for WP.

Congratulations on 12 years! 🎉
I think I have been with you for close to that many years. I enjoy reading your posts. It’s fun to see your lake and activities with your darling wife, family, and pup.
I look forward to your baseball games and our sports conversations! 🙂
I understand that, at times, it might be a daily grind. That is why I post weekly.
The winter has been long, cold, and full of snow. However, some color will return soon, boosting your spirit. According to the Meteorologists, it is Spring! 🙂
Congratulations to you, Mr. Mark, and thank you for being part of my mornings. 🙂

“The need to scratch that daily itch is waning.” Say It Isn’t So!! But I know the feeling. You certainly have produced quantity and quality.
I always enjoy our back and forth and felt you understood my foolishness. I still have plenty of Drafts prepared to be posted in the future. (hint hint)

Maybe it’s just this harsh winter, ladysighs. Warmer weather could bring new places to visit?
