Bird brain.
As my dear wife Karen and I strolled the early part of the Rosamond Gifford Zoo in our home city of Syracuse, I wondered how they kept the birds in this pen. Then my thoughts gathered and I wondered further if that bird on the post flew in from the neighboring city streets.
The thicker bird in the back, I further gathered, belonged there and did not wish to fly away.

Wise.
Noticing each other.
Then came birds studying me through wire.

Elaborate.
Each stop, it appeared that great care had been taken to ensure the proper habitat for each species.

Ground level.
I much enjoy spotting birds while I stroll, in our neighborhood and around Onondaga Lake.

I appreciated seeing these birds from other locales in our zoo.
That’s a great zoo! I haven’t been there in years but may have to plan a roadtrip soon.
