Would you believe there is a crossroads near here called “Pumpkin Junction”? I visited there a few years ago when my sister was visiting from Colorado and wanted to see where one of the backroads led. And yep! they had pumpkins and gourds of all shapes, sizes and colors. Very interesting place to see. Almost better than “Rabbit Hatch, KY” and “Turkey Trot, KY” put together. Sorry Bro Mark, you just sent me on a sentimental journey into the past. But when it comes to pumpkin for pies, I prefer canned. Already cut up and cooked and ready to use!

Glad to put you back in Pumpkin Junction, KY for a moment or two, sis Angie. Sounds like a great place to see.

It was very small, just a crossroad and general store, but nice. Lots of pumpkins everywhere you looked.
For Thanksgiving we have a place called “Turkey Trot”! Another crossroad and general store, and I guess we can go to “Rabbit Hatch” for Easter. All crossroads and general stores in farming country around my area.
