Our local favorite.
Ontario Orchards grows many types of apples that flourish in our Central New York climate.
Word has been that a late frost made this year’s crop dicier than usual at many of area orchards.
So my dear wife Karen and I were glad to see a robust selection during our visit, including baskets of our personal preference, Honeycrisp. They look good and taste great, we are happy to report.
So many to choose from! I have now become a Cortland Apple fan! We had some a few weeks ago. They taste great and also bake well.

Named after a town 30 miles south of Syracuse, at least that’s what I think when I see the town and the apple, Nance! Enjoy.

I used to think an apple was just an apple. Not any more. I’m really picky about picking apples.
