Wondering why and how …
They sprayed the ditch, George Three said as we sat and enjoyed our family day in he and Elisabeth’s back/side yard.
He meant the creek that wanders just past their property line, where we’ve already enjoyed ducks wandering in and outside the edges.

Will animals bob?
So my dear wife Karen and I walked along the edges for a closer look.
Yes, browner than the last time.
And down toward the right we spied red spheres in the shallow water.
Apples, she decided, rightly so.
From a neighboring tree down yonder, she figured.
I wondered how and why and what was going on, of course.
I hope it was nature that did that and not some wandering stranger. Maybe Elisabeth and George Three should set up a bird cam box to watch and see. ❤️

They have a camera set up out front and spend enough time checking their phones when that one signals them, Rachel!

Well, you are lucky the workers in your area have time to spray a ditch. Things must be slow over the summer. Down here, they just let it grow!

I’d have to cross people’s backyards, ladysighs. Or go down into the ditch!
