Buddies and baseball (and beer).
One topic that came up after our golf game the afternoon prior was, which Syracuse baseball park did we like more? The old MacArthur Stadium or the current NBT Bank Stadium?
KP leaned toward the old joint and its so-deep center field fence where fly balls went to die in the dark. I liked the great players past from the Toronto Blue Jays system we saw play there (congratulations new Hall-of-Famer Fred McGriff!) but leaned toward the many creature comforts of the new place.
We were joined by Bake and Zoom the next night for a Syracuse Mets game against the Worcester Red Sox.

Great game, both squads.
The teams, we four and both teams were up to the evening.
They scored just enough back and forth and Red Sox pitcher and shortstop Chris Sales and Trevor Story did well in their rehab performances and Mets Luke Voit and Jonathan Arauz homered and hit for a 5-4 Syracuse win in 10-innings.

Pretty park.
After it all soaked in, KP looked at me and decided. The new stadium had him.
What a fun time!

how great that you could all get together to share this fun experience. it really is a struggle to give up the old stadiums and embrace the new, but the conveniences and comfort usually win over and we can always look back at the fond memories of the old stadiums.
