We can’t escape the unhealthy haze

The sun battles the smoke from the north.

I had to pull over the car on the way home from dropping my dear wife Karen at work Thursday morning, stopping at the neighborhood green triangle to capture the haze of the sun struggling to appear over the line of houses to the east.

The barrier: smoke settled over Central New York by weather patterns bringing it from Canadian wildfires.

I do believe my eyes and lungs as we battle this summer-long issue in our part of the world. Unpleasant, unhealthy and unavoidable, I see and feel.

  1. Great picture!
It’s been horrible here too. I need to work outside in the gardens or they will get into bad shape. Who knows what I am breathing in. It was better this morning but it has turned bad again. Is there anything left of Canada? This has been months! I feel so bad for the Canadians!

  2. I’m so sorry y’all are dealing with this. We often get the brunt of Mexico’s fires, but the pics of New York a couple weeks were terrible, and I hate that you’re stuck in it now. You must feel so helpless.
