Let’s go for it.
The past two years, we walked right past the building that screamed Come see the old cars before we exited the Heritage Museum and Gardens in Sandwich, Mass.
This year the Cape Cod adventurers said, yes, please.

Now that’s a beauty.
Good choice. These beauties are pristine!

Woodie wagon!
The two floors of automotive history went way back before my time and also dipped into my life experiences. My father’s long station wagon was a Buick, though, not a Ford.

Made in Syracuse, N.Y.
I was completely taken aback when I spotted the 1925 Franklin and read that the line was produced in my longtime hometown of Syracuse. Somehow this it of history escaped me the last 40 years. My dear wife Karen knew all about it, though, and filled me in about the auto museum that used to stand … a block away from where we worked at the big daily. I never visited it and had no recollection of it being so close to the newspaper building. What a cool car, though!

They camped back then?
I also tried to picture original Woodstock-goers taking in the festival in a 39-year-old Curtiss Aerocar Camper. I bet somebody did.
How cool, Mark! The history (yay for Syracuse car), the station wagon for sure, and the camper~yes! I would’ve camped in it! Lol…I don’t know if I could’ve lived full-time in it like in my recent past! It reminded me, although it was at a later date than this camper, of a movie I watched with Lucille Ball (I love her) and Desi when they bought a camper! I’m glad I got to see some of your adventures today!

I think that camper is bigger than some NYC studio apartments from what I’ve seen in some news reports, Karla! Yes, Lucy and Desi projects stick with me, too.

This museum was a real eye-opener, Beth, making me realize again that my life really sits more years than I sometimes realize along the car timeline!
