Nursing along the strawberries

Berry promising.

Terrific daughter Elisabeth and fiancé George Three brought in a car load of strawberry plants for this first spring in their new home spread.

After they got them all in separate planters, we were offered a batch.

Off I went to find a strawberry jar. Several spots into my search, I scored the perfect terra cotta pot for our needs.

My dear wife Karen took care of the planting. After a few days in their new home, the plants are already growing out and up.

  1. Excellent! You may recall me mentioning before that I live about 10 minutes away from a little hole-in-the-wall town called Plant City which is known as the “Winter Strawberry Capital of the World”. Ergo, I know many strawberry farmers, and none of them has something as charming as your lovely potted garden here! Here’s hoping you get a sweet and juicy crop! ❤

  2. I love it! I love seeing strawberries blossom in such beautiful clays. I have wild strawberries growing in my small garden, Mark. I hope they produce. I can taste the goodness your wife will make! Happy day my friend!
