Super starters.
My dear wife Karen’s busy work schedule kept us from celebrating my round-number birthday this year on the midweek day proper.
Sipping part of the menu.
So we did it up proper on a weekend evening at local restaurant Santangelo’s, a favorite to both of us.
Italian, yes, please.
To accompany the food, Karen ordered a Cosmo and I with a glass of the house Cab Sav. They lasted the whole meal.
Great sauce.
The salads and breads warmed us up perfectly.
My veal parm was exactly as I anticipated. We never eat veal at home, so it’s an eat-out treat for me.
That’s a steak and a mistake.
I promise I was not going for artsy when I took the photo of Karen’s steak special. When we looked at my photo roll at home, she kindly told me it must have been the restaurant lighting. I think I somehow moved my phone.
