My terrific daughter Elisabeth has been wonderfully excited about a birth in the Madison County side of her family tree.
Out in the barn has come a new calf.
She shared photos of the beautiful new arrival via text.

Mama is proud, respectful, and caring to her baby, Elisabeth reports.

She also wanted to provide some perspective to just how tiny the calf really is at this point of its life.
Cute for sure, I agree.
So cute!

That’s an amazing new addition. I know some people who have a farm and newborn calves are indeed very cute.

Elisabeth and George were saying last night they have to go back again, Chris, to get some more cute in.

OK, the official name is Maggie, but quick nickname is Snacky Jr. because she loves to eat just like her mom. Happy Wednesday, Nance!

Yay! When I “pulled” my first calf at a dear family member’s house we all had tears and laughter combined when I gave him the name Norman immediately (in honor of the movie City Slickers at that time, lol).
