I know winter has settled in when I look out our back door and all I can spot are the tracks that cherished rescue mutt Ellie B has made around the perimeter of our pool. No signs of the cover stand out through the snow.
And it’s not that it’s too deep, as you can see by the couple inches that have built up on the deck railing.
No, it’s the combination of the cold and snow.
Oh but how pretty it is! Is it snowman snow? You know what I mean… it has to be a heavy snow. If so… you need a little one. 😉❄️

Not that I can ice skate but how fun would it be if pools could be turned into ice skating rinks for the summer. 🙂

Great concept, MBC. I know people who actually just make a rink in their backyards around here, no pool involved, just plastic liner, wood stakes and water from a hose …

We had a weatherman in these parts who used to show his homemade rink every winter and shared with others how to do it. 🙂

Good for those who love to skate that much, MBC!

Hi Mark, does the water in your pool actually freeze. It all looks so unbearably cold for a weather whimp such as myself. I hope you have a lovely day.

Because we have a security cover placed on top from fall to spring, SD, I really don’t know if the pool water freezes!
