
I felt it as much as I saw it at first, this elegant big bird passing overhead as I took my library work break walk next to Onondaga Lake Park.
This is more and more known as a great spot for eagles.
I got my iPhone out and up in time for a pretty nice photo.
Maybe it is.

I knew a professor emeritus of biology who as an avid bird watcher could identify a bird at such a distance. I, alas, cannot, but I like the picture.

Hi Mark – look at all of that water!!! The other morning I had a large hawk swoop out of my Sequoia – made so much noise, flew right over my head with a rodent in its talons. Unlike you, I was not prepared at all!
