All the fixings.
We chose well for a Sunday afternoon game as the second occasion out to NBT Bank Stadium to see our Syracuse Mets in this comeback 2021 season.
That allowed us plenty of time to set up our tailgate feast in the parking lot. We and the kids arrived at 11 a.m. for the 1:05 p.m. game start.
The subs, salads, chips and beverages were almost as good as the catch-up conversation. No masks, yes, all of us being totally vaccinated and in the big, great outdoors.

Good seats.
Our behind-the-home-squad-dugout seats made us happy, too.

Here’s the pitch.
They afforded my dear wife Karen, Elisabeth, George Three and I a great view of the baseball game between the New York Mets’ Triple-A squad and the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs, the team right beneath the Philadelphia Phillies.

Swing, battter.
A little zoom-in with my iPhone 8 and you feel part of the game.
Alas, the Mets fell, 7-2, dropping our season’s record to 1-1. They fell to 4-14, but the big team’s unbelievable run of injuries has left this level depleted …
More to come about this visit in the next few days.
WooHoo! Play Ball!
How fun!

I never understood what a tailgate party was. If you say it’s fun, I believe you because of the smiling faces. 🙂

It’s a portable party, ladysighs. And, yes, we enjoy being together again all vaccinated after the arduous COVID year.
