Too big for cherries or crabapples

Pretty tree.

A recent trip to Willow Bay revealed this stately tree.

Red and bright,

The fruit caught my attention.

Too big to be a cherries or crabappples for sure.

They do fall.

When I air-dropped a photo for my dear wife Karen to try her app, it suggested an American Cherry. We don’t think so.

  1. We have that exact same tree in our backyard, Mark. Let me know if you find out what it is. I always just thought it was a crabapple, but the fruit is a little too small. However, it’s hard fruit, like an apple and not like a cherry. Whatever it is, the squirrels and bunnies sure do like it.
