Or friend David texted us weeks ago, asking that my dear wife Karen and I reserve Sunday afternoon for a surprise party to honor his wife and our friend Theresa.
She was celebrating a round-number birthday.

The decorations at her cousin Ed’s banquet room off Hiawatha Boulevard were perfect.

Her sister, Joy, made sure everybody was aware of Theresa’s life at every stage.
