So much to clear

Maybe we didn’t get the two feet top end the weather folks had warned me about when we were heading into the storm that came to our neck of the world last weekend.

Lotta work.

No matter the final count.

My snow thrower.

When I went out front of A Bitty Better in our Galeville neighborhood in Liverpool on Sunday to shovel the front walk and clear the cars in the driveway, it might as well have been three feet.

Breathe in, breathe out.

The furnace pipes were already pretty clear. I’d thrown on my shoes and jacket and given them a quick shoveling at 5:30 a.m., when our cherished rescue mutt Ellie B aka Dogamous Pyle awoke for her breakfast and gotta-go. I’d learned the hard way last winter, when those babies got buried and our air-deprived furnace wouldn’t get the house above, oh, 60 F.

I gave that area another quick cleaning while shoveling the walk, I sure did.
