My co-workers Edina, Laura and I have picked up our break walk routines lately.
They pointed out how several of the houses we pass on the short part of the trail at Onondaga Lake Park we’re able to navigate look really big on their back side.
I agreed, and picked out the two I thought appeared as the largest for snaps with my iPhone 8.
An interesting concept, we also thought, was that they look less large when we walked back past on the front side on the return loop on the village street.
It’s all about perspective.

Wow, they hardly look like the same houses from the front. That ground must really dip down in the back.

That’s the trick, CM, the added room in the back!

I have to do home visits for part of my job and have often been surprised walking into a ‘tiny’ house to discover it’s vastness lies behind the front facade.

Most times it is quite fun and the home owners seem to enjoy my surprise.
