A portrait of Ellie B, done well by my dear wife

The finished painting is fantastic.

My dear wife Karen came home from her night with friend Marie at Painting with a Twist carrying her best work yet.

The evening was capture-your-pet night, and, wow, did Karen get Ellie B aka Dogamous Pyle to a T.

She had sent a photo of our cherished rescue mutt to the folks who run the place on Erie Boulevard East in Syracuse.

Work from this, they said.

When she arrived, they handed over her canvas that had been hand-sketched.

Karen’s careful brush-and-color work took care of the rest.

Happy together.

Ellie B approved.

A spot of honor

The piece of art looks good across from the beautiful photographs.
