Looking good for class

My dear wife Karen embraces her Central Service Processing class at BOCES with much enthusiasm.

In a few months, she’ll be starting a new career, making sure surgical equipment is thoroughly cleaned for surgeons.

Bring on the instruments.

Last week, the teacher took the class on a field trip to three on the local hospitals. She wants the students to get a great view of job duties and responsibilities right now.

Karen texted me the photo above. Yes, they had to wear their student scrubs, a special color that separates them from the staff workers. And they had to be sterilized for the special parts of the hospital.

That night at home, she filled me in about the ins and outs of the trip.

She’s ready to take on her internship in a month or so.

I think she’s going to be awesome in this career.
