It’s time for me to take my final bow in the BloggyVille challenge If You Are a Quote Lover.
I was nominated by Soumichatterjeenath of anunwrappedsoul. I accepted while on vacation in Cape Cod, and haven’t regretted it a bit. Thank you, Soumi, for giving me three days of indoor fun. If you haven’t yet, check out her site.
Here are the rules.
Post your three favorite quotes, one each for three consecutive days.
With each post nominate three bloggers for the challenge.
Recognize the blogger who nominated you.
I went rogue and decided to quote some of my favorite musical lyrics.
So I will leave this quote challenge with George Strait’s
s The Cowboy Rides Away because I am no stranger to partings in this life I’m living. Please feel comfortable singing along.
And my heart is sinking like the setting sun,
Setting on the things I wish I’d done.
It’s time to say goodbye to yesterday.
This is where the cowboy rides away.
Here’s the link to the George Strait photo above.
Here’s a YouTube clip of the song for those of you who know you love it and those of you who don’t yet know that you love it.
And to finish my role in this challenge, I nominate:
My good Canadian friend and constant BloggyWorld commenter Paul Curran. Paul has no blog, by one of the places you can find him blogging is at https://julienoblog.wordpress.com.
My friend Roy across the pond in Liverpool, who reblogged my first day to inspire his Bruce Springsteen-loving friend to blog more, and thus earned his own turn, https://radicalrumblings.wordpress.com
The talented teen writer from Oklahoma Victoria, whom I hope will attend Syracuse University and study journalism even though the tuition is high and the odds are long, https://theemptiednotebooks.wordpress.com

I can hear the music playing in the background, and it also makes me want to shoot some pool or go two-stepping. It also made me briefly think of Glen Campbell as he nears the end of his journey.

That’s a sad thought as well, Kerbey. Galveston, oh, Galveston. 😦

Oh, I love quotes. I also enjoy George Strait. Each singer puts his favorite “takes” on life in their song choices. I like how some people can find quotes and photos which really make it like a poster, Mark.
Hoping your vacation has been fantastic. 🙂
Ended a week with between 47 and 48 hours work. Just could not motivate myself to read and blog. . .

When MDW Karen and I went to George’s farewell tour show in Buffalo I waved goodbye to the last song with a tear in my eye, Marissa. I can admit it. The metaphorical sun was setting in my soul for a guy who gave me great music for many decades.

Thanks so much for including me Mark. Unfortunately, I can’t blog right at the moment so I won’t be able to participate. Again, thank you so much for thinking of me.
