It worked as a longing baseball fan. It worked as a quirky golfer.
Will Kevin Costner’s sports charm work as a crafty general manager in charge of the Cleveland Browns’ strategy in “Draft Day” is the question of the weekend.
Costner gets help from Jennifer Gardner as his salary specialist in front of the hunting eyes of Frank Langella as Browns owner.
Other movies opening this weekend include the murder horror thriller of “Oculus,” which puts siblings back together to prove that dear brother never really murdered mom many years ago.
The animated “Rio 2” follows the family of furries through Rio de Janero and into the Amazon.
“The Raid 2” goes undercover against bad folks in Jakarta.

Yes, I would root for Crash Davis and Nuke LaRoosh on the Durham Bulls. Still. Good call, Beth!

I like the idea of Cleveland being the focus, the Browns extra’s playing roles, filmed in Cleveland and a great man, Kevin Costner, who plays it ‘real’ whatever role he takes on! I had posted it was a wrap in the fall, then reposted to get my readers to go put out the money for this weekend…great timing for the movie! It’s Draft Day, real time, too!
