While commenting with my fellow Syracuse blogger Christopher S. Malone yesterday, the subject of snow came up.
No surprise. I did mention Syracuse, right?
In any case, Chris said it always snows here on March 12.
And he would know that because … drum roll, please … it’s his birthday.
Happy birthday, interesting fellow.
If you haven’t already, click on over to check out his blog about life, The Infinite Abyss(es). Wouldn’t that make for a great gift from around the world?
As for me, I present the photo above, shot with my iPad Air just now outside my front door in the Syracuse city neighborhood of Eastwood.
It proves that he’s right this year. It’s snowing in Syracuse on March 12. I shall look at is as white icing on Mr. Malone’s birthday cake.
Does it ‘always’ do something on your birthday?

I would imagine you all are pretty tired of snow by this time of year! It looks like spring is just about here. Yesterday it was very very windy and blew one of my doormats somewhere far off.

I would welcome a spring wind, PJ, but I like my doormat too much.

It always rocks on my birthday! I say that only because my birthday is at the end of March and it can be sunny and 75 or it can be 27 and snowing (like it was last year). So I’ve decided that no matter what, it’s always going to rock on my birthday! 🙂

I would imagine your birthday would rock on any day of the year, my friend! The weather swings sure are a wild card, though, aren’t they, CBXB?

The weather swings are most definitely a wild card. But it can make for some fun birthday stories! 🙂

Thanks for this notice that snow has already arrived there. We will be getting some today, since we have so far, just gone from 40’s this morning to freezing ice and wind. Snow is on its way… I have a November birthday just a few years ahead of Beth’s… Always a great variety of weather! I enjoy an Indian Summer that keeps on into November! We had a picnic and sat out on a deck two years ago, Thanksgiving. Smiles, Robin

An outdoor Thanksgiving is a pretty rare treat, Robin. Like the Native Americans and the Pilgrims in the legend.

Happy Birthday to you! A day late and a dollar short but with a glass full of Captain Morgan for me, spiked milk for Ted. Hope you’re still celebrating!

Thank you for the birthday wish! I didn’t boost the day, really. It’s just another number, right? Hope you and the Captain are making it happen responsibly, and I hope New Cat is DDing for Ted.
Got dinner with the folks, my brother and his better half tonight since yesterday’s snowstorm was a shit storm.
Hope your week is going well!

It is just another number but as my Gma likes to tell me every year, “it’s better than the alternative.” She’s so sweet.
Hope dinner was delish! And, New Cat makes the best DD ever.
