Sure, bring the kids to “Mr. Peabody & Sherman.”

They’ll get into the funny dog and silly boy. The Dreamworks animation will satisfy the most savvy modern youngster.

Pay attention, mom, dad and grandparents.

There’s plenty of humor and plot aimed to your level, too.

I was wondering if they could match the wit and wisdom of the old “Rocky and Friends” cartoon days.

Different, but definitely big time.

Do you usually like it when the movie world brings your favorite old cartoons to a new life? What are your favorite new takes on old ‘toons?

  1. Reblogged this one Mark. I always watched the Saturday morning ‘toons with my kids and then my grands. I’m not sure I would go to see another one now, but would probably rent one. Now even the grands are out-growing them in favor of the super heroes and the loud noises, so I just keep my eardrums intact, and listen to the radio. I do love Rocky and Bullwinkle though.

  2. So very glad that you are giving this a positive review! I will have to check it out soon! Glad to hear they have some witty and clever parts! I remember Mr. Peabody but wondered if I would recognize him once in a current movie… Thanks, Mark!
