After I posted my photos and rumination about this Sunday Syracuse snow of ours, I clicked over to a comment from my friend Merbear. She wonderfully steers the ship at http://knockedoverbyafeather.wordpress.com, taking turns at making me laugh and think hard. She had the guts to reveal to the world her top five Beatles songs. She sent me the link to the Bitstrips app cartoon that features her and hubby arguing over the merits of the Fab Four and Led Zeppelin.
And she nominated me for my first WordPress Award, the 2013 Blog of the Year Award. Thank you so much, Merbear. By the way, I would be arguing for Bruce Springsteen. I do not think you can take my nomination away because of this.
And, much like the Olympics, I am keeping the Blog of the Year Award flame burning brightly. I am nominating you!
Here are the acceptance guidelines:
1-Select the blog(s) you think deserve the Blog of the Year 2013 Award.
2-Write a blog post and tell us about the blog(s) you have chosen — there are no minimum or maximum number of blogs required — and ‘present’ the blog(s) with their award.
3-Let the blog(s) that you have chosen know that you have given them this award and share the instructions with them- (please don’t alter the instructions of the badges!)
4-Come over and say hello to the originator of the Blog Of The Year 2013 Award via this link: http://thethoughtpalette.co.uk/blog-awards-2-/blog-of-the-year-2013-award/
5-You can now also join the Blog Of The Year Award Facebook Page. Click the link here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/BlogoftheYear
Share your blog posts with an even wider audience.
6-And as a winner of the award- please add a link back to the blog that presented you with this award- and then proudly display the award on your blog- and start collecting stars.
(As always, acceptance of this award is not obligatory.)
My Choices
http://irishinvestigations.wordpress.com (My friend Jim has a keen eye about the stories that make life interesting. He and I have been friends for way longer than sharing this WordPress blog thing. Try 30 years!)
http://coulddoworse.wordpress.com (lundygirl posts photos, observations and recipes from London. Rachel and I have much fun trading comments about the differences on both sides of the big pond.)
http://cowboysandcrossbones.wordpress.com (CBXB seems to really enjoy life in Nashville even though she’s a forever-member of Hawkeyeland. Fun, fun, fun.)
http://kh1313.wordpress.com (Kim and I became linked in real life, and both of us got to post our side of the story about the blanket left in Syracuse and shipped to Georgia. I love her photos and introspection on Quiet Desperation.)
http://donofalltrades.com (Don is a policeman in real life. In his blog life, he’s a funnyman. We also share a compunction toward Bud Lite Lime.)
Thank you all for making my Reader a better place!
