Big block relocation

You know the construction on the grounds of the Town Offices in my neighborhood means business when they relocated the mailbox from the parking lot to the street by chipping around the concrete block at its posts and moving the whole darn thing to the lawn’s edge.

Suddenly, the purple ones show up

Every year I’m surprised all over again when several weeks of white flowers on this plant are interrupted by the arrival of some purple blooms. I like it. I just get slightly amazed at the mixed message from Mother Nature, is all.

Great view stepping out from my car
