Maybe the new Limp Lizard shirts will keep up sharp

If things keep looking up this young season in the Thursday Night Men’s League at Bowling Green is North Syracuse for our Limp Lizard squad, perhaps the reason is … Hover over a gallery photo for a description. Cut up that Syracuse pineapple

We thought the pineapple tree gifted to my dear wife Karen by George Three for Mother’s Day would be a two-year affair. Then she took it inside here in the Liverpool neighborhood of Galeville as the Central New York temperatures started to chill for October. You know, Hawaii fruit and all. The pineapple started to…

Let’s go with the spare Orange look for Halloween

Walking through the blocks surrounding A Bitty Better in the Liverpool neighborhood of Galeville with Ellie B and my dear wife Karen, I spotted a lawn decked out for Halloween with just the right amount of flourish for me. A wispy little ghost with a pumpkin-head caught a breeze from the center tree while seasonal…

Late bloomers

The Gerbera daisies are still kicking up a storm in mid October in the backyard here in our Liverpool neighborhood of Galeville. I’m so glad my dear wife Karen put them in the earth months ago. She has mentioned how she wondered if this was a batch that would go bloodless all year long. Nope.

Lights and boats

I can’t quite figure out how to get the whole red word in the frame. I’ll take another approach next time.

Going, going, bye sunset

The sun seems to set faster this time of year. We were doing something in the kitchen when my dear wife Karen mentioned how beautiful the sunset looked out the window.’ So I quick grabbed my iPhone 8 and dashed out the front door. I snapped at the end of our driveway, a bit frustrated.…

Looking for that autumn color at Onondaga Lake Park

Not that I’m rushing the coming of winter or anything, but … It sure is taking a long time for the green to go around my part of the world this year. On a work break walk in Onondaga Lake Park in early October, I could hardly find any brightly colored leaves. There were a…

Thank you, Captain David Wright

While baseball fans concentrate on the excitement of the playoffs, I must tip my hat in tribute to my captain. Thank you, David Wright. My New York Mets set up one heck of a special nights for their third baseman on the next-to-last game of the regular season. For those of you keeping score at…
