Syracuse Mets salute their top fans

I really admire that I usually find something new while I’m nosing around NBT Bank Stadium after not visiting for a few months. During this annual March open house, we came upon the stairway vestibule wall now adorned with a Hall of Fame set aside for top fans. Great idea for the loyalists who buy…

What’s new in Syracuse Mets gear?

We always take a right into the official Syracuse Mets store during the annual March open house to spy what might catch our eye as brand new or even new to us gear. Circle the shirts and hats we did. The takers were terrific daughter Elisabeth and dear wife Karen, hat and shirt, respectively. Yes,…

Get the grounds crew gear out

I did mention that we have tickets at a high top table near here for the April 5 opening day game earlier this week. The grounds crew will earn its pay in the weeks between, of that I am certain.

Scootch meets Mrs. Met

As we climbed the main entry stairs to NBT Bank Stadium for the annual March open house this past weekend, team mascot Scootch stoop atop to welcome all comers. Scootch noticed my iPhone camera interest in the mural that included Mrs. Met. Soon the image included two mascots. #LGSM indeed.

Let’s Go, Syracuse Mets

My Syracuse Mets hold their annual open house today. I plan to attend. I will get on line to buy tickets for opening day. They say hope springs eternal. This trip to NBT Bank Stadium reenforces that bit of lore for me.

Welcoming street in every season

Up at the far end of this street in the Village of Liverpool sits my workplace. I like the feeling that comes to me when I spot the public library in the middle of this tidy spot in my life. I hope all the visitors feel the same way.

The pet people are back with new slogans

The Village of Liverpool pet store people recently trotted out new messages for their A-frame signs of the corner of First and Tulip streets. It’s been awhile since they switched the slogans. Thank you for livening up my strolls, bright minds at Furrever Friends.

Appealing to my good nature

What to do during a staycation? A drive some 45 miles to the east to check out Good Nature Farm Brewing and Tap Room seemed to be a good idea. A check of their website by my dear wife Karen (who was not on a staycation, dagnabbit) showed that they would open at 3 p.m.…
