My dear wife Karen and I arrived to our home city JMA Wireless Dome early enough to catch a lot of the fourth quarter of the opening game of the day’s doubleheader.

Each contest featured a No. 1 team in the country.

In the women’s college lacrosse contest that kicked off the big day, the visiting North Carolina Tar Heels carried that banner.

They were smooth!

In fact, they hardly allowed the home squad Syracuse Orange a shot on their goal as we watched all that talent on the field.

The Tar Heels won 13-9 in the Atlantic Coast Conference contest.

I’m hoping the home town squad will still advance to the NCAA Tournament, too. They are still top 10 material.
