Thank you, Onondaga County War Memorial, I thought as my dear wife Karen, terrific daughter Elisabeth and fantastic George Three took our trek to downtown Syracuse for what’s become an annual visit to see our American Hockey League team, the Syracuse Crunch.

Our first stop was the new-to-us lounge on the bottom level.

I liked the decor, particularly the art honoring great acts that have performed in the old barn over the decades.

I thought that I’ve seen some greats here, quickly recalling great nights appreciating the music of James Taylor, Don Henley, Tom Petty, Kiss, Carrie Underwood, Meat Loaf, Bob Dylan, Elvis Costello, John Mayer, Dave Matthews, Jerry Garcia … just off the top of my head.
