Our Central New York course …
As the top golfers from the U.S. and Europe finish up their tussle for the Ryder Cup at treacherous Bethpage Black on Long Island with a string of singles matches today, I will be watching on my living room TV.
Also, I’ll be thinking about how this has been the season where I’ve reclaimed my passion for playing, joining up with my friends much more frequently for friendly rounds on our favorite Central New York courses.
Tough game it is, I realize, no matter if you’re a world standard-setter for a retired guy taking hacks with buddies.
The key for me is to appreciate the good shots and conversation. I’m already looking forward to next season.
Nice to read you’re getting more into the game, Mark. I never got any good at golf, but I also never allowed myself to play regularly. Maybe there is a round or two left in me, if only to enjoy the course. I love walking a well-kept course.

glad you’re back in the game on a more frequent basis, I know you enjoy golf and sharing it with your friends. it sounds like the euros are beating us and some of the americans in the gallery are yelling out things, with bad behavior.
