Hey, I commented to my dear wife Karen as we strolled along the beach road in Chatham, there’s the Washington Monument.
Ha. She’s accustomed to my sense of humor.

Honored.
We share curiosity, too, so we walked up to read the tall statue’s inscriptions.
Turns out, it honors those lost and those who attempted rescue of the Barce Wadena in Chatham waters on March 17, 1902.

Valiant.
